Meggie and The Littles Start the Countdown...

The day after Thanksgiving was supposed to be a fun family day. We planned to attend the Bowling Green University football game with Daddy's entire family, to see cousin Tyler (the QB) play his last home game. Then reality took over.

I was asked to pick up a shift at the hospital and couldn't turn down that money. Daddy and I discussed the cost vs. benefit of him taking the three kids by himself to a football game in the expected freezing temps -- and decided it probably wasn't worth it. So, Daddy headed to the game with his parents and brothers and Meggie babysat the Littles while I went to work.

Did they sit around all day, being lazy bums? No way...not with teacher-in-training Meggie in charge! She organized a craft project to help them count down to Christmas. The pics tell the story...
...as Molly and Carson taped the pre-cut green and red paper strips into chain links. Of course, every Christmasy craft project is made better...
...while watching a Christmas movie! Looks like the chains are ready...
...but the project doesn't seem quite finished yet. Well, of course...
...there needed to be a way to tell whose countdown chain was whose. Meggie wrote the words and let the Littles add some decoration.
Project complete! More Christmas preparations to come...
