Heading for a BIG Transition Year...June 4th, Molly got to graduate from Preschool. (I gotta admit, these days they sure do overkill the concept of graduating. In my day, you graduated from high school and college. Period. But I digress...)
Molly had a great year in Preschool. She came SO far in nine short months...from a petrified little girl who only spoke Chinese to this...

...adorable, camera-loving graduate who has learned English like a pro and set the standard for manners in her Preschool classroom. (I'm especially proud of THAT!) OK, Molly, quit mugging for the camera. It's time for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Great job! Before the actual graduation ceremony, the girls in the school who take dance performed for the crowd. Here we have Molly doing her tap number.

She's the skunk on the far left who is cheating off her neighbor. It's OK, Molly, keep trying!

Oooo, much better technique!! The ballet number had a "spider" theme...

...and there she is in the front (again) looking over her shoulder at her neighbor! Carson, are you proud of your little sister?

I think that's a YES!! Miss Jenny confided in me before the ceremony that she was afraid she would cry when talking about Molly and her classmates...

...but she did a great job and no tears occurred while she had the microphone. Meggie got a great shot...

...of Miss Jenny hugging her "Molly Holly By-Golly" (which is what the whole class called Molly all year) as Miss Jeannie looked on. After the ceremony, we headed outside for the traditional balloon launch...

...and a great picture of our graduate with her super-photogenic siblings.

So now we head to a huge transition year. In 2010-2011, Molly goes to Kindergarten, Carson heads to 1st grade, and Meggie will be a Senior in high school! YIKES!!!!

After graduation, she stole Molly's mortar board and gave me a quick glimpse into the future. GULP! Take off that hat, Meggie...I still have a year of denial in me.
It will be okay! Enjoy Meggie's senior year!! Just think, after she graduates, you have a LONG time until Carson. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm one to talk, huh? Our upcoming school year will have a sophomore in college, junior in high school, a second grader, and a kindergartner.
