Our Underwater Christmas Adventure...

With Daddy being off work this week and next (with pay, the lucky dog!), we made a vow to make some fun memories with the kids. Today was our underwater Christmas adventure. No, we didn't try to drown them in the bathtub -- although the night IS still young. (Just kidding!) No, this afternoon we headed out...
...in Daddy's truck to visit the aquarium, where we saw lots of crazy fish and...
...Scuba Santa! In the second picture, Santa was checking the Nice List to see if he could find all of our names. (He could, thank goodness.) The Scuba Santa show was a bit cheesy, but Daddy and I found this...
...to be the funniest part. That elf (a large man who went by the name of "Pixie" according to the script of the show) was there solely to poke the sharks and other sea animals with his candy-cane-striped stick so they wouldn't attack Santa. How does one list THAT job on one's resume?! Hysterical!

This picture was taken...
...when the kids were told to sit on the edge of the stage for a picture with Scuba Santa. The photographer couldn't get them to look at her (for the overpriced professional photo) because they were afraid to turn their backs on Santa. What DID they think he was going to do to them through that thick glass?!

After the Scuba Santa show, we headed out through the rest of the aquarium and found one of Santa's reindeer...
...who was apparently very lost! (Or maybe he decided he couldn't swim...)

So that's how we spent OUR Christmas Eve Eve. Have you had time for anything fun? Please don't tell me you're still wrapping and baking in a panic...

  1. played lots and lots and lots of UNO. And went sledding. And made Christmas cutouts for santa. and drank TONS of coffee and hot chocolate. And ate turtles (the chocolate kind, silly!) Went to church, unwrapped a present (of course! every day for the last three days - we aren't very patient here!!)

Looks like you guys had a good Christmas Eve :-) There were moments where we THOUGHT about an Underwater Christmas of our own :)
