Preach It, Little Sister!

After my Easter post, I realized that our Molly Jayne is something of a Jesus freak...which is a VERY good thing, in case that comes across as offensive to my Christian bloggy friends.

This girl pays very close attention in Sunday School, lives for Wednesday night AWANA (which she will miss terribly all summer), and is not afraid to tell the world she loves her Jesus! It occurred to me that she will provide me with plenty of material for a new feature on the blog. Move over Wacky Wednesday and Out of the Mouths of Babes...Preach It, Little Sister is here!

Consider.

Molly, Carson and I were at our local Chinese restaurant for dinner last week. Molly looked up and noticed this...
...potted plant sitting near the entrance. She got thoroughly excited!

"THAT (pointing to the plant) REMINDS ME OF WHEN JESUS WENT TO BETHLEHEM! THE PEOPLE WERE WAVING THOSE AND YELLING, HOSANNA, HOSANNA...BECAUSE JESUS WAS A KING!"

It is possible she has her facts wrong...not sure Jesus was headed to Bethlehem in that Bible story...but her excitement is unmistakable.

The entire restaurant stopped and stared at our table. We didn't mind. You just keep preaching it, Little Sister!

  4. Since Easter, our China doll has conversations with everyone who will listen that go something like this: "Jesus dead --- Jesus died on cross---Jesus alive---Jesus is God--Jesus loves me." She's gotten responses from smiles to just blank looks, but that's pretty much the gospel from a 3 year old. It's much better than the times that she would tell everyone who would listen, "Jesus broke" when our Christmas snow globe fell and broke. THAT took a while to get past.
