We have had crazy amounts of rain in our little part of the world lately. In fact, in April, we had 13.5 inches of rain. Compared to the average rainfall of 3.75 inches in April, that is a LOT of rain! In fact, we only had two sunny days the entirety of last month. Getting the idea? To say that the weather is THE topic of conversation around here would not be an exaggeration.
Well, Molly heard people complaining about all the rain and she couldn't figure out what the big deal was. She loves rain. Really?? Really!
She told me that, during prayer time at her Christian daycare center (where she goes before attending afternoon Kindergarten), that her prayer was to thank God for all the rain. When I asked her why she would be thankful for rain, she responded, "As I walked into school, I saw a pretty flower. So I thanked God for giving us rain to make that pretty flower grow."
Gulp. Guess I'm done complaining about rain...
