Wacky Wednesday!

I'm digging back into the pictures from Graceland for this week's Wacky Wednesday. (Just realized I haven't blogged about that trip. Life is just too busy...)

The first night in Memphis, the whole family headed out to Red Lobster for a late dinner. Since it takes a few minutes to set up a table for 20 people, we had a BIT of a wait in the lobby. When Carson and Molly started to get stir crazy, one of the wonderful waitresses decided they needed a bit of entertainment.

So, she dug into the lobster tank...
...so Carson could shake hands with a real, live lobster. (He was THRILLED!) Molly, however...
...was not so sure she wanted to meet a live lobster. In fact, she shrieked every time she got within two feet of the thing!

While it felt a bit like animal cruelty -- or is it crustacean cruelty? -- to me...
...the waitress placed a crayon in one of the lobster's claws and then helped the lobster color with the kids. (Is it in that lobster's contract to be the dinner show and THEN the dinner?) Even though it felt a bit cruel, the kids were amazed. Ever the attention hog...
...my dorky brother, Mike, laid on the floor with the kids and insisted he also have his picture taken with the crayon-holding lobster.

Happy Wednesday!
